WINE LABELS

FEBRUARY 2025

OVERVIEW

These three wine labels are self made to reflect three different levels of wine: classy, contemporary, and casual. Each label brings their own unique vibe. The classy design speaks with elegance and tradition, which is fit for formal and special settings. The contemporary label brings forth a sleek, modern look that appeals to today’s trend-focused audience. Lastly, the casual label design keeps things relaxed, more approachable, and fun for people with a collection of wine.

The purpose of these wine labels was to showcase my skills in designing a variety of personalities and experiences one can have when it comes to a bottle of wine. By offering all three, I’m able to connect with different moods, styles, and customers while still keeping each brand consistent visually.

APPROACH

I first started with my traditional wine label, Emperor. To keep the premium and luxurious look, I chose to create a simplistic, yet elegant logomark. I mirrored the letter “E” from the name and designed a crown on top to complete the look. I also chose a serif typeface all throughout the front and back labels to keep it

consistent and used blue and gold to keep the “royal” and upper class aesthetic. For my other two labels, contemporary and casual, there was more room for creative freedom. So, for my “Euphoria” contemporary wine label, I went with a design that best suits the word. Besides using a sans-serif typeface, I added a flowy, abstract pattern with lighter colors and a black background. The combination of these elements definitely creates the euphoric feeling of extreme excitement and happiness. With my casual wine label, “Venumb,” I wanted the playfulness of the name and design to show. Including a snake drinking wine definitely made it happen along with intertwining the words venom and numb to incorporate the feeling of drinking wine.
